This was our second annual games day fundraiser for the club.  This year saw a change in venue from Judy Anders’ house to Jeff & Carol Bingaman’s.  We improved our attendance from nineteen in 2009 to twenty-two in 2010.  A great many of us chose to flounder around the pool table and Jeff and Sam proceeded to remind us of the benefits of home table advantage by beating us profusely. Also, Jim Compton eked out a narrow victory over Heather Whitaker and Elaine Pinkerton in a very spirited game of scrabble.  Everyone also took time to go out to the garage and view Jeff’s 1970 sunroof project that is nearing completion.  Jeff is hoping to have it ready to debut in Port Angeles in May if things go to plan.  This years games day resulted in many cougar stories, a bunch of happy faces and $80.00  in to the general treasury.   All in all it was a very successful day in my book. A big thanks goes out to Jeff, Carol, Sam and Noel for opening up their house to the club and to Elaine Pinkerton for organizing the event with the Bingamans. I am already looking forward to the 2011 installment and hope to see all of you there.
