Many Mercury Cougar owners and admirers will appreciate knowing about the history of the Cougar, and learn of some of the interesting events that occurred while it was being conceived in the minds of engineers, marketing, and other staff at Mercury during the years prior to introduction in 1967 . Thanks to club members Don Skinner, and Jim Pinkerton, who worked on collecting and compiling that history, we have some interesting documentation and pictures of that time. The site will begin with links to the 1967 information, and other introduction memories, Articles for the 1968 model year are now being added to the site as they become available.
