CASCADE COUGAR CLUB CHRISTMAS DINNER EVENT REPORT

by Chris Farmer

In opening I hope that this report finds you all in good spirits and looking forward to a very happy holiday season and a prosperous 2012. I know that it has been a great 2011 for the club and that with the many events upcoming there should be plenty to enjoy in the upcoming year.

The 2011 Christmas party was wonderful as it always seems to be. I had the opportunity to visit with many of you and I apologize for those of you that I did not get to. We had 45 people in attendance including some new members. Jim Buriage is a new member from the Seattle area. He has a '69 convertible that we are looking forward to getting to see in the spring. Rick Franklin attended, he is a long time prowl participant but this is the first year he has joined our club. Last but not least Rob & Kirsten Waine have also joined the club. Many of us know them from Prowl and other events they have attended with the Fordnutz club. I hope you all got to meet them and welcome them all to the club.

Neal Jacobson ran the raffle again and did a great job. Neal and several others came up with a ton of nice prizes. Ashlyn Farmer helped Neal with the distribution of the prizes and drawing the tickets. She had a great time and I am sure Neal appreciated her help. The raffle brought in $218.00 for the club treasury.

.

Jeff Bingaman got up and addressed the crowd briefly. He thanked everyone for coming and then introduced the new members. He had all of the people in the room introduce themselves and describe their cars. The highlights of the night were the wonderful food, the annual club raffle and of course many stories of both present and past happenings were swapped. Jeff also announced the engagement of their daughter Noel to Eric who was in attendance, congratulations Noel and Eric!!!!

Many thanks to Elaine Pinkerton for organizing the party, and to Neal for running the raffle as well. All in all I think the party was a great success and I am already looking forward to next year. Here’s wishing all of you a very Happy New Year and a prosperous 2012.
