Fifteen hungry Cascade Cougar Club members met at 10:00 for a good late breakfast on March 3rd.  The food was good and we all arrived on time.  The only club business was brought up by Chairman Jim Hall; he announced we will have a rechroming businessman at the April 14th meeting.
We went to the Seattle Roadster Show at the Qwest Field Exhibition Hall after breakfast.  The show seemed perhaps a bit smaller this year, but still filled the west half and the balcony of the hall.  The show had no Cougars, but had two nice collections of Mustangs and a few Mustang stragglers, as well as the usual collection of other fine cars, street rods, and motorcycles.  A wooden-fenced area labeled the “Mustang Corral” held two black ’69 Boss 429s, a yellow ’70 Boss 302, and a yellow ’71 Boss 351.  The second Mustang area contained a collection of Fox Body Mustangs owned by Mustangs Northwest members.
As always, this show had a lot of interesting vendors, mostly repeats from year to year.  One I don’t remember from years past was a seller of metal “Welcome” signs.  Above that word was a caricature of a car with a lot of models available.  The only 2 Cougar models there were a ’70 Eliminator and a ’70 convertible.  At least 3 of us bought signs ($16.25 with tax).  They’re also available by mail order (but not by Internet), so see some of us for a list.  The sign includes a separate short metal post for placing in the ground.
